About the practice

The Priory Surgery is home to a busy and friendly practice team who have a strong team ethos.

The team work from renovated and extended Georgian premises that has ten GP rooms and four treatment rooms.

The Priory offers a mix of appointments including same day urgent, routine pre-booked and telephone appointments with both GPs and nurses.

The practice is part of Connexus.

Working environment, values and culture

The Priory practice team rate the practice as good.

They hold weekly clinical meetings, a monthly multi-disciplinary team meeting, a monthly prescribing meeting and a quarterly significant event review.

Wherever and whenever possible, the team get together for meetings and social events.

What we offer

The practice will consider a variety of ways of working on a case-by-case basis, including job share, part-time and term-time only.

Family-friendly benefits are negotiable and include standard contract terms for statutory maternity, paternity and adoption leave.

Learning and development

New members of staff are welcomed and supported to settle in with a full induction, ongoing mentoring and a range of social events. This begins with a half day induction and orientation on the first day, followed by an individually tailored, four week programme as appropriate.

Staff training is negotiable depending on need and all staff can take advantage of free, online mandatory training, with LMC courses also available. Clinical staff are supported and enabled to achieve regular, annual updates.

Our patients

The practice cares for a mixed and interesting patient list which offers clinicians lots of variety.

The demographic is largely class 2 to 4.

Patients rate the practice overall as very good.
