Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic salaried GP to join our friendly team at Stockwood Medical Centre, working 4 sessions a week.  The successful candidate will be dealing with a varied caseload, ensuring the highest level of care for all our patients.

 

About us

Stockwood Medical Centre is an ever-expanding practice with our practice patient population covering a variety of demographics. Situated on the southeast edge of Bristol we are in easy reach of both Bristol and Bath and close to the Somerset countryside. We provide care for approximately 10,600 patients and are active members of the Connexus Primary Care Network (PCN).

 

We are a friendly, dynamic and supportive team of 3 GP Partners, 5 salaried GPs, 6 practice nurses, 3 HCA’s, 2 phlebotomists supported by our experienced administrative and reception teams. We are also an established GP training practice and actively involved in both undergraduate and post graduate medical education. We offer minor surgery and joint injection clinics and are forward-thinking in how we develop staff and services to meet the needs of our patients.

 

Salaried GP Role

Scope and Purpose of the Role

• The post-holder will work collaboratively with other clinicians and practice staff to provide high quality general practice care to a varied patient base.
• As a salaried GP you would be expected to support the partners in providing all Primary Medical Services in line with contractual and regulatory frameworks.
• We would expect that you keep good clinical records on EMIS Web using clinical templates and protocols at all times.
• All GPs have personal lists of patients as we value and aim for continuity of care.
• Open door policy & informal catch ups over coffee/lunch.

 

Person Specification - Experience       

Essential

Experience or working in general practice to include:

• Face to face and telephone consultations
• Home visiting
• Working within a team environment
• IT Skills including the use of Microsoft suite and EMIS Web

 

Qualifications         

Essential

• GMC Registered Medical Practitioner
• Hold a GMC GP Licence to practice

 

Desirable

• Qualified in Sexual Health is an advantage
• Having experience with invasive procedures such as injections and minor surgery would be beneficial
