Hanham Health is a successful, innovative, flexible and inclusive GP Partnership based in South Gloucestershire. We provide NHS primary healthcare services to around 27,000 patients from three separate sites: Hanham and Oldland Surgeries (merged in May 2009) and Almondsbury Surgery. We provide medical services to the military personnel at Abbey Wood, we hold the vasectomy contract for BNSSG ICB and we provide dedicated healthcare services locally on behalf of AWP Mental health Trust in Vinney Green Secure Unit, Fromeside Medium Secure Unit and at a mental health rehabilitation ward. We also hold a contract with the DHI to provide clinical input to South Gloucestershire community drug and alcohol treatment services.

We are seeking an Executive Manager to lead and manage the Practice and additional external contracts. Working closely with the Partners and the Management team, you will be directly responsible for the delivery of high quality, accessible clinical services, the financial and commercial performance of Hanham Health’s business and managing the full team based at all its sites. You will be the main contact acting as the Partnership’s ambassador in the community, looking at new ways to increase the profile locally, in business and with the ICB/ NHSE. Experience working with partner organisations would be useful but not essential. The role requires a strong combination of leadership, strategic thinking, operational management, financial oversight, probity and governance. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential. You will work closely with the Partners to affirm Hanham Health as a beacon of clinical excellence. You will work collaboratively with local practices through the practice managers’ forum and the Primary Care Network (PCN). Experience of bid writing and strategic development is desirable.

You will bring a track record of success in people management in a senior role with full P&L responsibility. You will be a Graduate or have equivalent experience, with evidence of formal management development and CPD. Prior NHS experience is desirable but not essential.

This is an exciting role managing both the core NHS contracts and the external contracts held currently. We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate excellence and innovation whilst staying focused and displaying strong personal and professional integrity.

This is a full-time post, but a job share would be considered.

Please contact elly.veale@nhs.net (HR Manager) if you have any queries or would like more information about the job role.

NB: A DBS disclosure (enhanced) will be required.
