Salried GP - Healthwest PCN

Following the recent addition to the NHS Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme, we are looking for two enthusiastic newly qualified GPs, qualified in last two years and not previously employed in a substantive GP post, to join our team.

The role will cover 5 sessions per week, across 2 different practices, (2 sessions per practice and 1 session for CPD/QI), with a focus on same day care.

The PCN constitutes 4 practices in the Clifton and Redland area: Pembroke Road Surgery, Whiteladies Medical Centre, The Family Practice Western College, and Students’ Health Services, which are all within a 1-mile radius.

We are a highly collaborative PCN, offering a supportive working environment. Our dedicated wellbeing team coordinate a PCN running club, yoga sessions and various events and social activities throughout the year that all staff can choose to participate in. 

Our PCN and practices

  • High-performing 70,000 patient PCN in the popular Clifton and Redland area of Bristol
  • Training practices with established trainers, training programme directors and an LMC Director  
  • Prescribing Hub which processes all prescriptions for the PCN practices
  • IT Hub offering IT support across the PCN, including bespoke recall systems and patient safety netting
  • All practices are involved in clinical research
  • Broad multidisciplinary team including nurse practitioners, nurses, nurse associates, HCAs, clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, first contact physiotherapists and social prescribers
  • Sustainability focused practices
